Contains numerous black and white illustrations with full color frontis with tissue guard. There are no marks but pasted to front pastedown is the obituary of Viollet-Leduc dated Paris, Sept. 18, 1888 as well as an 1890 ad for the book. To FFEP is pasted a story of the ancient races of North America by Robert Donald. End papers are dark brown and fragile with splits at both front and back gutters. All edges are red.
