Scarce to find genuine Cummings inscriptions. Fritz Peters at the age of 11 became the personal caretaker for the mystic philosopher Ivanovitch Gurdjieff. As an adult he wrote novels based on his own experiences with nervous breakdowns, alcoholism, a broken marriage, and homosexuality, as well as a memoir titled BOYHOOD WITH GURDJIEFF.

Stratton is credited as the book's typography designer on the copyright page.

Coward's First Book and his first play produced in the West End. At the age of 20, he also performed in the role of Bobbie. The play ran for a month at the New Theatre (later renamed the Noel Coward Theatre) and was also Coward's first play in America. This copy lists two other works by Coward--THE YOUNG IDEA and HAY FEVER--dating this to 1925. SIGNED by the author on the half-title page and scarce as such.

Rogers was born in Indian Territory in 1879 and had some Native American blood in his veins.
