Title page showing Faith and Religion as pillars upholding the Spanish monarchy within an aedicule or classical architectural element. The Spanish king sits holding a sword and scepter with his foot on the globe between America and Spain. Two figures representing allegorical representations of Spain (a soldier in armor holding a sheaf of wheat) and America (with feathered headdress and holding a sheaf of corn or maize) flank him. Two vignettes at the bottom of the pillars show a man battling a many-headed snake with the motto: 'Domat omnia virtus,' and a beehive with the motto: 'Omnia nos itidem.'
