Novelist Ian Fleming chose Jamaica as his second home, writing his James Bond adventures at his North Shore retreat each winter, many of which were set on the island. As a working journalist, he also wrote widely on the country, it's history, culture and politics, this being one of his earliest examples. Although the canonical nature of this book has been debated by Bond fans since its publication, it was officially authorised by Glidrose Publications (Fleming's literary copyright holders). In-text illustrations throughout. A lightly used copy in near fine condition. An interesting behind the scenes look at the making of the Bond film 'The World Is Not Enough', written by the acclaimed journalist and screenwriter Iain Johnstone. The book is well produced, with many photos (including colour storyboard section in the middle), and is a uniform size and style to the John Gardner / Raymond Benson James Bond first editions.
