K. Le Moyne is a famous surgeon. So why would he give it all up to move to a small town where Sidney Page, "a strong, beautiful girl," is training hard to become a nurse?

Possibly inscribed to a member of the prominent Jones family of Pittsburgh, Uniontown and Sewickley -- industrialists and steel magnates.

He was born into a family of court painters in the princely state of Mysore, present day Karnataka. He was a pupil of Abanindranath Tagore. He was best known for his watercolors.
