Self-identified as a "arpenteur" or surveyor in Paris in 1674, he was presumably applying the new science to his trade. GOOD. Significant wear to the binding, but intact; slight browning; title page loose; chip to the top margin of the final plate, but not affecting the illustration. As pictured.
