New York, New York: American Child Health Association, 1920. Some light toning, else fine.. A small lithographed card (6" by 4") published by the American Child Health Association (ACHA) advocating for giving children access to school lunches. The card depicts a loving female teacher presenting a piping hot meal to three children, underneath which is a rhyme: "L is for Luncheon served hot in the School; We wish all the Teachers could follow this Rule." The ACHA was formed in 1923 by Herbert Hoover by merging the American Child Hygiene Association and the Child Health Organization, and grew out of efforts to stop rising infant mortality rates.

Includes a list of trustees and managers, and a brief description of the lot purchased for the home on the corner of Thirteenth street and LeHigh Avenue. Also mentions an upcoming fair being organized to further raise funds. Printed bifolium with additional printed single sheet (both 8" by 5"). The Ladies' United Aid Society of Philadelphia was instrumental during the Civil War in caring for the wounded, and became one of the most recognizable Ladies' Aid Societies in the country. It kept records of honorably discharged soldiers, and recognized the need for ongoing support of soldiers who may have been left without a means of making a living because of their injuries from the war.
