Browne; map image size 14.5 x 8.5 inches. The map was furnished to Professor Walter P. Webb by E. N. Noyes of Dallas, Texas. Mr. Noyes had only a photostat. The map is dated September 23, 1851. The article in the quarterly presents several theories on how the map came to be made by Browne. It includes the route of an Indian Trail from Arkansas to Chihuahua. In the same issue is essay by J. W. Williams THE NATIONAL ROAD OF THE REPUBLIC OF TEXAS with 2 single, full page maps of the North-Central area of Texas showing the route of the National Road of the Republic.
