Description:
San Francisco: James Linden Editions, 1989. Soft Cover. Near Fine binding. Oblong folio. [28] pp. First separate edition, one of 77 copies from an edition of 87. Printed on Rives BFK and stitched into burgundy covers with a printed paper title label; three photographs are dry mounted and each signed below by Mundy. The covers are a trifle sunned near the spine, otherwise, a fine copy of Mundy's triptych that is here coupled with Le Guin's chapter, "Where It Is," from her work "Always Coming Home." Linden remarks in a note, that Mundy had long wanted to "produce a triptych: three photographs taken quickly, with spontaneity as the effective aesthetic binding agent." It was Le Guin's text that proved to be a catalyst that sent out Mundy and Linden out into the Valley on a foggy June morning to take these photographs which Linden brought together with Le Guin's chapter.

Richmond: Frank Baptist Printing Co, 1893. Hard Cover. Good+ binding. Octavo. 63 pp., portrait. First edition. As issued, in publisher's cloth; frontispiece portrait of Tucker. Binding a trifle rubbed; textblock is a bit loose in the binding; nevertheless, a very presentable copy of an uncommon book. During the Civil War, Tucker served as a secret consul to England, France, and Canada in turn. But he is most known for his implication by President Andrew Johnson in the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. A ten-page appendix with letters by Tucker to Andrew Johnson, William Seward, Edwin Stanton and others with reference to these accusations including one lengthy letter addressed "To the People of the United States." Remarkably uncommon in the trade and even in institutions with scarcely more than a dozen holdings according to OCLC, most in Virginia (OCLC 4223341).
