Pittsburg, PA [Pittsburgh]: Westinghouse Machine Co., 1899. Softcover. Very Good-. This futuristic pamphlet, which drew some notice and reviews at the time, proposes a system of natural gas pipelines following railway lines, feeding highly efficient natural gas engines...a system that was not to be realized fully for decades. Westinghouse cites many advantages of natural gas to supplant coal fired electric energy. Scarce, no copy located per OCLC. 24pp., 9 x 7", rebound in white boards with crimson backstrip & gilt lettering. Two pages have losses to lower corners, otherwise very good. * 004970
