Spine has three ~1/2" tear at top center and bottom of spine and one at top of front cover. Dog eared bottom edge and rear corners, with a small smudge on front and back. This small volume includes the first eleven editorials of Theodore Roosevelt, published in The Outlook from March sixth to July seventeenth, nineteen hundred and nine. The Outlook was a weekly magazine published in New York City under various similar names from 1870-1935. At the time of writing these pieces as a newly assigned Associate Editor of this popular magazine, Roosevelt was coming off of his term as president and gone to Africa on a scientific safari.
