A touch of rubbing to head and tail of spine, no previous owner inscriptions. A very good copy. Laid in is a large photograph of an elderly Lowry in conversation with the artist Mervyn Levy. Corners just very slightly rubbed, head of spine very slightly worn with a minute nick to cloth, 2 very small pale spots to margin of plates at page 32 and page 88. Wonderful coloured illustration throughout with interleaved half-pages to advance the action on the same scene. The unlikely story of a pelican which becomes a sort of farm pet and has to be taught to fish.
