There is one bent upper page corner on page 55, but I don't think the previous owner got any farther in this book- as the pages are crisp and clean! No writing in the book. There is a small soiled spot at the bottom of pages 40-41 and the bottom of the last few pages to the outside edge. Outside cloth covers are nice with some minor soiling, corner, and edge wear. No Dust Jacket. Book has come from a private collection. A less common title in this great series. Inside text is in Excellent condition and appears to be unread and unused. There is a Landmark Name plate inside the front cover and you can tell where it was once lightly glued to the first end page. No other writing or markings in the book. Outside cloth covers are nice with some minor soiling, corner, and edge wear. Dust Jacket has some minor soiling primarily to the back cover with some edge chipping primarily to the top and bottom of the outside spine with some small missing pieces. Dust Jacket is now covered by a new clear mylar cover. Book has come from a private collection. A nice book and a less common title in this great series. New York: Julian Messner, Inc, 1966. 5th Printing. Hardcover. Excellent. Stated Fifth Printing from 1966. Hardback Book of 191 pages with a Pictorial Cover. Book appears to be Unread and Unused! Binding is tight and pages are crisp and clean- with the exception of 5 pages that have a small edge tear- which appears to have occurred in storage, as this book is definitely unused and unread! No writing or markings inside or outside of the book. Outside pictorial covers are nice with some very minor corner wear. No Dust Jacket, but I do not believe there was a Dust Jacket with this Pictorial Cover Edition. This is a less common and harder to find title in the wonderful Julian Messner series of famous historical figures.

John Murray, 1953. Hardcover. Very Good/Fair . Great Collectible with the Queen's recent death. Unique piece almost 70 years old! Stated First edition from April 1953. This is an ex-library book with some markings, but they are not excessive. Inside text filled with pictures is in Very Good condition with a tight binding and mostly clean crisp pages. Outside cloth covers show some age wear and soiling at the top and bottom edge areas. Dust Jacket is in Fair condition with some missing pieces from the top edge of the front and back cover, BUT the Queen, Prince Philip, and the current King Charles III and Princess Anne's picture is complete of all personnel! Dust Jacket is now covered by a new clear mylar cover. Great Collectible!

This book was also used as a Primer Reader with a world list in the back of the book. (No school or other markings in this book). Mostly clean crisp internal pages. Outside covers show some soiling with corner and edge wear. Great collectible!
