Dustjacket edges slightly rubbed, small scratch on the back of the d/j (approx 1 inch). Was first published in the UK in 2002 by SixForty Press as 'The Bones in the Womb'. It was shortlisted for the Encore Award in 2003. This is an intense story of a fifteen year old girl whose abductor decides after twelve years to return her to her parents. It is a riveting meditation on the themes of loss and reunion, parents and children, and nature versus nurture.

Original dustjacket not price clipped; with slight shelf wear around the top edges of the jacket. Book pages have very slight tanning around edges (Secker used inferior paper which has not faired well with age). Text pages clean with no internal markings. Ronda Gorge is a collection of Higgins' travel writing over 23 years which are based on his travel diaries and assorted memoirs piecing together the very best. Aidan Higgins is considered one of modern Ireland's greatest writers. His first experimental novel "Langrishe, Go Down" was awarded the James Tait Black Memorial Prize for fiction in 1966. Ronda Gorge is now out of print.
