Stated first edition on the copyright page. Binding is tight end pages are clean, the only issue found with the book is the exterior appearance (see photos). Inscribed and signed by S. Parkes Cadman on the front end page: " With my affectionate Regards to Mr. Samuel M. Meeker, S. Parkes Cadman, Jan 4, 1931". Mr. Meeker was a noted lawyer, VP and Trustee of Williamsburgh Savings Bank, and a leader in church and charities.

Tall double pocket folder which holds the information packet from the 1957 annual meeting of shareholders of Matson Navigation Company for the SS Mariposa, for a special event held at Pier 35, San Francisco. The meeting inspection was held on March 21, 1957 and includes tours of the Promenade deck, boat deck, bridge deck, upper deck, main deck, and on "A" deck. Packet includes a schedule of the meeting times, the pamphlet explain how the passenger liners Mariposa and Monterey are the first two ships equipped with the Sperry Gyrofin Stabilizers, also known as Anti-Roll. In addition, there is also a four-page document explaining the history and features of the SS Mariposa and SS Monterey. Call softcover, exterior covers show bumps and wear to the edges and corners along with scuffling and soiling, particularly on the rear wrap. The internal binding is good and text pages are tight. No signatures or bookplates, no library markings, no handwriting, no underlining, no remainder marks etc. The pages do show some usage along with a soft crease through most of the book, which can be seen near the upper outside corner angling inward. This may be from the original binding process. The first page states "This publication supersedes FM 21-76, 14 March 1969". Each chapter is numbered individually.

Philadelphia, PA: D. Hogan, 1816. Hardcover. Good+. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, full leather binding red label on spine. Book exterior is original, edges and corners are worn as is finish to the leather. No hinge cracks, no torn or loose pages. Front pastedown has handwriting (some scraped off) and very early 19th century bookplate for a Mr. Hugh McKee. Hugh McKee's signature, along with an 1818 date, appears on the second end page and title page as well. Pages are quite toned with moderate to heavy foxing noted throughout. At page 253 the second title page is present from the same author and also dated 1816 entitled "The Young Communicant's Catechism; Or A Help, Both Short And Plain, For Instructing And Preparing The Young, To Make A Right Approach Unto The Lord's Table.". A couple pages have corner folds but binding is surprisingly strong for its age.

The internal binding is overall good, though there is some pulling in spots where the threads are showing - which is the main reason for the lower condition grade. Paper is toned due to age and there is some light foxing and spotting present. Marbled end pages and front and rear. The front pastedown and half title page both contain bookplates of Richard William Smith Griffith, there is also some very faint residue of penciling on the end pages along with a small check mark on the decorative title page. The tissue guard for the frontispiece is not present but you can still see remnants of the tab between the preface pages ii and iii. The only handwriting found in the book is on the front and page where you can see that a price was once penciled in the corner and then partially erased.
