A fine copy in nearly fine jacket, toned and with a few small edge chips. Nicely executed printing of this excerpt from "The Little Flowers' of Saint Francis of Assisi.  A classic tale of Christian Mysticism.  The artist, Helen Habberstad (1892-1966), was known for her landscapes and printmaking.  The book was handset and printed by A.W. Rushmore at his Golden Hind Press in and edition of just 50 copies in 1931.

His ties to historical material both forged and looted from Texas institutions is well documented, though much of that evidence came to light well after the fact. 204 detailed listings with some photos throughout. Blank bidding form laid in at rear. Near fine in printed wraps with a bison on the front cover.

Warmly and lengthily inscribed by Milazzo to Carl Hertzog on the ffep. Collection of "Dallas Yesterday" columns from the Dallas Morning News by newspaperman, Sam Acheson (1900-1972.)  This copy from the library of Texas printing giant, Carl Hertzog, with a warm inscription from the editor, Lee Milazzo.  Milazzo notes he couldn't bear to not include Hertzog in his first and possibly only publication, and since Acheson did not write of Hertzog, he had to get creative.  Carl Hertzog is indeed listed in the index of the book, and is featured on pg 404.... A wonderful and humorous association copy.  .

Nine sequential issues of this almanac from English astrologer, Richard James Morrison (1795-1874), or Zadkiel.  The 1865 issue contains the very interesting 36pp. Halse's Medical Galvanic Apparatus advertisement by Wm. H Halse, professor of medical galvanism.   A wonderful set full of cures, weather and political predictions, hieroglyphic illustrations, etc.

Joints heavily rubbed but holding, some bubbling to upper board. Tape repairs to inner margins of endpapers else clean internally. A good, complete copy. A very early set of reports from all agencies and departments in the city of San Francisco for the year 1862-63.  The city was still in a state of rapid growth in the years following the Gold Rush, with developments in the banking and railway industries leading to the Bay Area becoming a center for trade and business.   The earliest municipal reports we find mention of in OCLC are for the year 1859-60, and holdings are scant for these early volumes.
