First edition of Prince Pückler-Muskau's (1785-1871) account of a journey to Greece and Malta, undertaken in 1836-37. As a nobleman travelling in style he was everywhere welcome to move in the best society. The plates show, a.o. the Order's arsenal in Malta, with its ship constructions and repair facilities.
