Finely bound by Zaehnsdorf in early half dark brown morocco. Spine with raised bands with floral gilt roll design. Compartments ruled and lettered in gilt. Floral patterned paper on the boards and endpapers. Top edge gilt, the others untrimmed. Original stiff paper wraps bound in. A very good copy in an attractive late nineteenth century leather binding that has some very light wear to the edges but is overall very good indeed.

Beautifully illustrated with 9 colour plates by Alastair. Finely bound, by Bumpus, in contemporary half plum calf. Spine with 5 raised bands. Compartments double ruled, fully decorated and lettered in gilt. Salmon pink cloth on boards. Marbled endpapers. Top edge gilt. Light spotting to the blank endpapers otherwise a lovely bright copy in a fine early twentieth century leather binding with just a small are of abrasion to the top raised band on the spine. This edition contains a bibliography of the various editions of Salome published prior to this one.

A very good copy in a highly decorative early leather binding of full dark green morocco, mostly mellowed to an attractive brown colour, with five raised bands to the spine, each ruled in gilt. Compartments ruled and decorated in gilt. Boards fully gilt with elaborate lattice design which has Rampant lion and thistle designs in each small compartments, all within a double ruled gilt border. Turn-ins with decorative gilt borders. Marbled endpapers. All edges gilt. Small area of loss to the bottom outer corner of the front board but overall still a very good attractive late Victorian leather binding.

Inscribed by Colin Hayes on the half title page and with a catalogue of his exhibition at the Royal Academy in 2000, plus the order of service from his funeral at Mortlake Crematorium in 2003. Illustrated with 60 fine full page plates. Very good copy in publishers illustrated grey cloth covered boards reproducing pencil drawings by Spencer. White cloth spine lettered in grey. A little rubbing to the extremities of the binding and a single previous owner name on the front pastedown endpaper, but overall a very good copy of this interesting book reproducing sixty drawings produced by Spencer between 1939 and 1949 and housed in four large sketchbooks, larger than reproduced here. The original scrapbook pages measured 16 x 10.9 inches.

Very good condition throughout with some very minor rubbing and toning to the edges but still all clean and sound. The set has been very well looked after. Started by Vale with $100 from Lawrence Ferlinghetti and the same amount from Allen Ginsberg, Search & Destroy was a hugely influential recorder of the early Punk scene in America, while also reporting on and interviewing the bands making a name for themselves on the British scene, including Iggy Pop, Blondie, Dead Kennedys, X, Devo, The Ramones, Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Damned, Sham 69, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Buzzcocks and an article on Vivienne Westwood. Complete sets of the original publications are uncommon.

Previous owner bookplate inside the first four volumes. In the publishers original dustwrappers with the same design background. Fine and clean wrappers with the spine lettering, including the red volume numbers and titles, vibrant and bright on all six volumes. Uncommon in such good condition.
