[Portland, Oregon]: [Gloria Alten], 1993. Unbound. Nine linear inches of loose 4"x6" drugstore prints intended by the artist to make postcards with. A handful of unused postcard backings and some completed postcards are present. Some images are duplicates. Portland artist Gloria Alten (1923-2014) sat in front of her T.V. and took hundreds of pictures of the news, and with her camera focused on her T.V. set, she captured some of the spectacle that was the early '90s media landscape. 
The bulk of the photographs (5 linear inches) are of Bill Clinton and his early presidency: debates with George Bush and Ross Perot, his inauguration, State of the Union Address, appearances on The Phil Donahue, and appearances by Hilary, Chelsea, Al Gore, Janet Reno, Oprah and Muhammad Ali, etc. Yes, he is shown playing the saxophone.

"This issue is dedicated to all the home tapers, power electricians, noise artists, and difficult musicians." The "power electronics" sub-genre of noise was introduced to many listeners with this compilation, which includes Japanese superstar of noise Merzbow, Al Margolis's long-running project If, Bwana, Maybe Mental, and No Wave composer Rhys Chatham.

First published edition, one of an unspecified number of copies in the deluxe issue, bound in quarter buff linen cloth and blue-grey paper over boards (Wade 25). Very Good. Small damp stain at head. Covers darkened with age and lightly marked and soiled; small nick to edge of boards. Crease to bottom corner of title page. Pages lightly toned and dust soiled; slightly exposed hinge toward center of text block though binding remains solid. Printed on slightly thicker paper than the wraps issue, and also far more uncommon.

Bound in publisher's original paper-covered boards lettered in green with illustrated onlay to upper board. Very Good with glue repair evident to spine along rear joint, lean to binding, toning to spine and wear to spine ends, soiling to covers. A non-authorial 1928 Christmas gift inscription is above the author's signature on the half-title page.

Though this was the last book in Potter's Peter Rabbit series, it was among the first to be written.

Michener's first book, a Pulitzer Prize winning collection of short stories about the Pacific Campaign in World War II.
