The last part of this rare book describes a trip to Mexico shortly before her return to England, and an earlier trip to the West Coast, but a good part of the work deals with her ranch experiences. Much surprised her, and she took it in her cultured stride." Merrill's Aristocrats. Howes J60.

University of Oklahoma Press, 1964. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Book has a small bump to top corner of front cover, but very good, dust jacket a little faded but no chipping, also very good. First edition. Adams One-Fifty 119. Guns 1901: "This is the best biography of Hickok published to date and shows much scholarly research. The author corrects many of the old fables and legends concerning Hickok, and according to my own research, I can find but two errors. The author has Harry Young the bartender at the No. 10 Saloon where Hickok was killed, and he says that Jack McCall entered the saloon by an open rear door. Most of the reliable residents of Deadwood of that day claimed that Anson Tipple was the bartender at No. 10 and that McCall entered by the front door.
