A remarkably Fine-condition copy of this early Ralph Steadman illustrated book which was written by Richard Ingrams, former and original editor of the British satirical publication, Private Eye. Unpaginated, copiously illustrated including two double-page illustrations. A superb example of this pre-Gonzo work which Ralph Steadman has signed for the previous owner and improvised his sad-face doodle around the opening words of the actual text. A really Fine, clean copy in Fine price-clipped dustjacket, scarce thus.

Laid into the book, a promotional bookmark for the Terry Pratchett Discworld title Feet of Clay which has been SIGNED by the great man himself. Measures approximately 8 inches x 3 inches, printed on one side and the signature is to the blank verso. Obtained by the seller in person at the event advertised in 1996. Condition VG - has been carefully used for many years in the manner intended and so showing signs of use - some rubbing along the edges, some creasing, one tiny stain to the top right corner of the verso.

Finland: Universal Pictures, 1966. 1st Edition 1st Printing. No Binding. Fine. A super cinema-used Finnish A2 one-sheet for the 1966 movie, TEXAS ACROSS THE RIVER starring Dean Martin & Alain Delon. The film was first screened in cinemas in Finland in February 1967 with no subsequent theatrical screenings. This particular poster is a standard size 60cm x 40cm approx. It is in Very Fine used condition - pinholes at corners but unfolded. There are minor handling creases but no loss of paper, and no nicks or tears to the edges. As usual the Finns have done their own thing with the layout and design but the graphics are great. Exceptionally clean and bright. A very nice example of vintage movie advertising art and design in outstanding condition. For best appreciation of condition, please examine the high-resolution image which accompanies this listing.

Helsinki: Saber Productions, 1974. No Binding. Fine. A Finnish "tour" movie poster for the cult 70's blaxploitation/sci-fi comedy, The Thing with Two Heads, starring Ray Milland and Rosey Grier. The movie's only theatrical run began in Finnish cinemas in August 1974 which dates this particular poster to late 1974 or possibly early 1975. Finnish tour posters are much rarer than cinema-lobby posters because they were a million times more likely to be trashed after use so when they occasionally turn up they are likely to be unused examples. This poster replicates the original US artwork and is without printer or artist information. It measures just under 16" by 24.5". In excellent, clean condition, a rolled poster without folding creases. No nicks or tears to edges. Some minor discolouration to the corners of the white margin at bottom. An original, cinema-used, first-screening Finnish poster for the French movie CET HOMME EST DANGEREUX, starring Eddie Constantine. The film was first screened in Finland in 1955 with no further theatrical release. The poster was printed by Piirtopaino Oy and measures 23.75 inches x 15.75 inches (60.5 cm x 40cm) approx, Standard Finnish A2. Artist signed in the plate. Condition: C8 (VG to Fine). This poster has a folding crease to the middle, not unduly noticable. Multiple pinholes - which is why it only qualifies for a C8 as it looks like a C9. Small nick to bottom edge (less than 1cm). An authentic and extremely scarce Finnish cinema-used movie poster for the big-screen adaptation of Till Death Us Do Part. The film was released for the first time in Finland in 1971 with no further cinema releases after that date. The poster is neither a modern reproduction nor a reissue. The poster measures 23.5" x 16.5" approx and is in Very Good to Fine condition. There are neat staple holes to each corner and one set at each edge but the staples have been removed without discernible damage upon dismounting. There is a nick to the right hand edge of about 1 cm. The most noticeable defect in condition is that the paper has tanned a little - most noticeable at the white background parts. Book has a very slight lean but overall is in Good condition, free from owner names, markings etc. The dustjacket is price-clipped and scraped a little at the corners of the upper cover but is otherwise intact and clean. A Good dustjacket and overall this is a very acceptable example of a scarce title.
