New York and London: Funk & Wagnalls Company, 1901. A stout octavo of 588 pp., color frontispiece and black and white plates by T. de Thulstrup. An exquisite example of a publisher's Art Nouveau binding, designed by George Whaton Edwards, signed with his initials. Scarlet cloth with cover and spine decorations consisting of Corinthian pillars in astonishly bright, heavy gilt and a fern frond in striking olive green. Warmly inscribed and signed by the illustrator on the front free endpaper, this is a perfect copy of a boldly handsome volume.

New York: Grosset and Dunlap, (1927). 8vo. This is a near fine copy of the scarce Photoplay edition of 1927 in the ORIGINAL DUST WRAPPER. The book is a bit squint and has a bit of marginal staining to a few pages and evidence of erasures on the front end leaves but otherwise is clean and unworn with the orange cloth bright and the lettering crisp. The wrapper has some light soiling and and some shallow chips but is still bright with the cover illustration unmarked. Scarce. Heins GL3A.

Beautiful copy with full color cover illustration matching the first edition dust wrapper . A tiny bit of wear at extremities otherwise a stunning copy with no fading and the colors clear an bright. Racine, Wisconsin Whitman Publishing Company 1938 Early edition This is the Whitman number 1488 volume which is based on the motion picture featuring Glen Morris and Eleanor Holmes. It is small format, the same size as the Better LIttle Books Series. Beautiful copy with full color cover. Very slight wear at extremities, pages browned as usual, volume a bit squint. Leipzig Bernhard Tauchnitz July 1938 Early, possibly first, Tauchnitz edition Original orange wrappers with the scarce dust wrapper. The book is fine with one corner very lightly bumped and a few stray marks on the back cover. The wrapper is lightly worn but a rare survivor for a 1938 softbound book. The first London and New York editions appeared in 1937 and the American title of this book was "The Peacock Feather Murders" being the 6th Sir Henry Merrivale novel. Whiteside County, Illinois, no publisher, Circa 1890. This is the very scarce second printing of the rare Daniel Blue booklet originally published in 1860. This edition was done, circa 1890 in Morrison, Illinois although there is no indication of publisher or date in the booklet other than Whiteside County, Il and 1860. This edition has 21 pages versus the 23 of the first edition and does not contain the Chicago imprint of the Evening Journal Steam Print. Bound in the original drab brown wrappers, clean, but well thumbed, staples rusting with several leaves loose, covers creased and a bit dogeared but overall a better than good copy of an unusual item. Only three copies of the 1860 edition are known to exist. Eberstadt 114:89, Graff 333n, Howes B552, Not in Wagner-Camp, unrecorded by Sabin.

Octavo, 113 pp., plain, unprinted card binding in a stunning pictorial wrapper comprised of a strong Art Nouveau border of pale lavender violets and mint green leaves entwined on a curved band of soft sea green..all set against the palest blue background. Title centered in the border written in flowing burnished gilt, which also outlines the petals, leaves and band of the border. The selections of Tennyson's poetry printed on each page begin with a large initial in mint green. The book is in flawless condition, still protected by the original ribbed glassine dust wrapper and contained in the original printed box, which repeats the cover design of the book on the lid, printed in blue. Aside from some soiling and wear to the edges of the box, this is an exceptional copy indeed of an Arts and Crafts period gift book.

New York: Cupples & Leon Company, (1914). First Edition. Slim quarto, 64 pages, bound in original red cloth with color pictorial pastedown on the front cover. This charming tale of "A Boy, A Brook and A Bear", is illustrated in full color as well as black and white by Loretta Low. Each page of text has a pictorial border exhibiting a very strong Arts and Crafts influence. Aside from some faint flecking on the cover this is a fine, bright copy of a handsome book.

New York: William Morrow and Co., 1970. ADVANCE PROOFS. This copy is an honest to goodness advance proof copy obviously issued in very limited numbers. It is simply the galley sheets, printed on one side only with plain cardboard covers stiched through three holes with white binders twine holding it all together. On the cover is pasted publisher's information. This copy appears to have been used by a reviewer as it has a paper clip mark and one story (notably "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings") removed but gratefully laid back in. A landmark anthology that set the stage for an explosion in Black women writers and their success.

The Century Co., New York, Octavo, 1927 FIRST EDITION A stunning copy bound in the original green cloth with purple and black cover illustration and titling. The book is unworn, clean and unmarked. The dustwrapper is clean and bright with some trifling chips along the spine edges. This is the story of 3000 miles on horseback wandering through the Southwest. Decorated map endpapers and copiously illustrated with black and white photos.

The company manufactured quality metalwork for home interiors and exteriors, publishing interesting catalogs from their location at 119 East 57th Street, N. Y. City. A fine copy. Todhunter Inc. featured a wide variety of styles but favored traditional motifs as well as items with a decided Arts and Crafts influence.

Ahlen & Akerlunds, Stockholm, 1915A large quarto bound in the original beige linen cloth with a color cover vignette and green titling. The cloth is slightly age darkened with some wear to the extremities. Front inner hinge cracked but still solid. Some soiling and age darkening to the text block as usual. This is the first edition, written in Swedish with charming, nearly miniature illustrations by Einar Nerman. The illustrations are mounted and tissue guarded. Gift inscription on front endpaper dated 1927. Despite faults a nice example of a scarce title.
