Description:
1231pp, previous owner signature on inside cover (G. Benson), Near Fine. Book is clean and unmarked except for fascinating addition following index, a handwritten list of criminal interrogation techniques under twenty-six alphabetical headings (A through Z) describing methods of psychologically guiding the suspect's responses, seemingly inspired by the book, probably written by a person studying criminology. Book weighs 5 lb. 3 oz.William Samuel Sadler (June 24, 1875 – April 26, 1969) was an American surgeon, a self-trained psychiatrist and author who helped publish The Urantia Book. This book is Sadler's attempt at surveying the entire field of psychiatry at the time of publication. Rare in any state, this very clean copy provides a fascinating insight into both Sadler's thought and of the state of psychiatry in the mid 1930s.

Wylie was a prolific writer; this book concerns how two neighboring cities prepare for a nuclear blast, written during the cold war. "Wylie's 1954 novel Tomorrow! dealt graphically with the civilian impact of thermonuclear was to make a case for a strong Civil Defense network in the United States, as he told the story of two neighboring cities (one prepared, one unprepared) before and after an attack by missile-armed Soviet bombers. This was adapted on October 17, 1956, by ABC Radio, as a one-hour drama narrated by Orson Welles produced in cooperation with the Federal Civil…
