Exeter, England: H. Ludec's Steam Printing works, 1884. Presumed first edition. Paperback. Very Good +. 194pp. Duodecimo [18 cm] Printed wrappers, with A facsimile from the Book of Abraham printed on the rear wrapper. No illustrations precede the text. With both American and English prefaces. Small loss from the top fore-edge corner of the rear wrap; rust stains surrounding the staples in the inside margins of the preliminary pages. [Flake 4364? 18 cm variant?]. Possibly the most vitriolic and anti-Mormon book ever issued in the 19th Century, by a self-proclaimed "ex-Mormon priest." [Salt Lake City, UT]: Uconoclasts Suite I: Literary Utah, 2010. 1/25. All twelve prints & broadsides. These prints (16" by 12") are signed by the artist. This edition is limited to twenty-five numbered copies. Utah's literary iconoclastic past as depicted by visual and word portraits of twelve Utah mavericks who all, in one way or another, have gone against the grain. Uconoclasts Suite I: Literary Utah includes some of Utah's most famous and beloved and controversial literary figures (Edward Abbey, Bernard Devoto, Wallace Stegner and Wallace Thurman, for example) and even includes the beat generation icon Neal Cassady (who was born in Utah). Whether native sons and daughters or not, all Uconoclasts also share some sort of Utah connection. If they weren't born in the state, like Cassady, then the state and its geography: its people and its places, had a profound effect on them, as in the case of Abbey and Stegner. All twelve of these initial Uconoclasts have all been chosen because of their creative…

Gainsville, FL: University Press of Florida, 1996. First edition. Hardcover. Near fine. SIGNED. 68 pp. Oblong octavo. [23 cm]. Illustrated wraps. Top right corner of front cover slightly scuffed. Fore edges ever so subtely worn. Signrf by the author in black ink on the half title page. This book features his black and white photographs from the span of 1973-1996 taken in Yosemite National Park. Uelsman is known for his creative experimentation in the darkroom, and coined the term "postvisualization". He describes this process as a playful exploration using his extensive archive of medium format negatives and a dozen enlargers, crafting images which speak to complex themes such as environmental decay. For example, many of the images of the beautiful landscape of Yosemite in this book feature architectural or anatomical details.
