Numerous penciled notes in the hand of the previous owner are seen throughout this volume. There are also a few leaves with paper-clip creases. The volume is otherwise tight and very clean. The dust jacket remains bright and clean, though shows rubbing and wear along edges and folds. A check is affixed the verso of the dust jacket from the previous owner to the author and dated the same the inscription from the author. The dust jacket is now in a clear Brodart protective sleeve.

Two plates showing the skull of the grizzly bear, and one beautifully hand colored plate of the bear. Recently bound in green cloth boards, and black cloth with gold lettering on spine. Paper shows some signs of age, and the third (b/w) plate shows slightly creased corners. Contents are otherwise clean and intact.
