Fine and bright in a Very Good, unrestored example of the uncommon dustwrapper that has a light stain at the bottom portion of the spine and an inch-deep chip at the top of the front cover obliterating most of the "T" in the word "The". Fitzgerald's last book published before his masterpiece THE GREAT GATSBY which had a print run of 20,870 copies while this book had only 7,650 published. As with the better known GATSBY, this title, Fitzgerald's only published full-length play, also explores the American Dream but here with more comic intent and more pathetic results. [1946?]. First Edition. Poster. Very light soiling. About Fine. A 15" x 19-1/2" poster in color, apparently produced in 1946 when the U.S. military was trying to enforce a policy of non-fraternization in the occupation zones between the troops and European women. It depicts a sullen soldier sitting on his bunk in uniform above the title of the poster and the caption "Prophylaxis Prevents Venereal Disease!" In the lower left corner in small letters: "VDgraphic--76."

(Conway, MA), (1973). First Edition. Softcover. Fine. Large (11-1/8" x 15") single sheet of thick deckle-edged paper folded to make 4 pages containing an essay on Ezra Pound by MacLeish. Archibald MacLeish was not only a well-known poet but also served as Librarian of Congress, appointed by Franklin Roosevelt, a position he used to reorganize and promote the institution. In addition to winning three Pulitzer Prizes, MacLeish was commissioned by the NEW YORK TIMES to write a poem to celebrate the Apollo 11 moon landing, which he entitled "Voyage to the Moon" and which appeared on the front page of the 21 July 1969 edition of the paper.
