The pages are toned & the rear endpaper is nearly detached. Good. - 32mo. chapbook [3-5/8 inches high by 2-1/8 inches wide] softcover bound in printed blue wraps sewn with tan cord with a vignette & a decorative border on the front wrap and an ad for Babcock's Toy Books on the rear cover. The binding is lightly bumped & soiled with 2 stains to the front wrap & a chip to its inner edge. 16 pages. Illustrated with a woodcut title vignette, a decorative border at the top of the first text page & 6 full-page woodcuts in the text. There is a stain to the inside front wrap, partially obscuring an owner's faded name. The text pages are unevenly darkened. Good.

Very good. <p>The text is in Swedish with an English summary. The English subtitle printed on the title page is "A study in the religious art and ideas of Ernst Josephson".<p>An important Swedish artist and pioneer of modern art, Josephson's latent, inherited schizophrenia overtook him at the age of 37.
