Spine with raised bands and gilt lettered direct, both cloth sides blocked in gilt with armorials. The spine uniformly and not unattractively slightly sunned, The binding by Sangorski & Sutcliffe. School prize inscription on front free endpaper.

Profusely illustrated throughout with photogravures, plates, maps, & illustrations. 4to (10 x 8 inches), pages: 248:248:146, contemporary half crimson calf, spine gilt ruled with lettering piece; some rubbing but generally solid and well bound; cracking to inner joints but very firm on cords.

With handwritten note that the red colouring denotes footpaths as claimed by the Rambler's Association. 40 1/2 x 28 inches, dissected on linen and folding within plain cloth covers; very good. N.B. The apparent browning to the right hand side of the map in the photograph is actually just a shadow - the map is very clean.

All three fine and with their decorative fold over wrappers. The third volume would appear to be very uncommon.
