The first half are the "War Poems", nearly all with an author listed, the second half with a separate half title at p. 135 page for "Songs of the South and Other Poems" by 'Kentucky'. Prefatory address notes: "A 'faithful few among the 'honorable women, not a few, in the northern and border states of the late Southern confederacy, have thrown hastily together this 'Book of poems."
