As all the art work noted above is different than the actual publication, the relationship between the final publication of this title and this mockup is unknown.

This 64 page pamphlet with essays about Maugham by Charles Hanson Towne & Carl & Mark Van Doren & Dorothea Lawrence Mann & Marcus Aurelius Goodrich & John Farrar, as well as several letters by Maugham himself to a Mrs. Frances Hale, is quite uncommon.

WAGON TRAIN GAME #4020, Milton Bradley Company, 1960, first edition, a crease and a short tear to one of the width lower box sides, one stand-up piece missing (The Coyote), two other stand-up pieces missing one balance point while one stand-up piece is missing both, (thus leaving two stand-up pieces in tact as they were six in all), else all else present in fine full color pictorial box lid. After reading the instructions to this game, it would be hard to imagine a worse or more stupid game than this for anyone over 8 although it's aimed toward the 6 to 14 age bracket.

(This novel was set to be published by Tor in 1997. But it was canceled / delayed for 2 years and then published by Forge. No copies of this book exist noting Tor as the publisher. And there is no mention of A Tor publication on the copyright page. However, there was a Tor Proof issued in 1997, but to locate one is next to impossible).
