New York: Frederick Stokes Company , 1894. This set does not include the monthly calendars printed on the costume; a second version has a calendar month per costume.. A cut paper doll set, lacking original wrapper. The passing of the year can be joyfully marked with the help of this doll. A cardboard double-sided, paper doll that is meant to be dressed according to the month of the year. Drawn and water-colored by Elizabeth Tucker. All twelve costumes are included in this set, however it is lacking a few of the accessories. This set does not include the calendars. Four (4) hats lacking. 7" doll.

York Harbor, Maine, 1930. Very good. Toned with some dust soiling, rust staining from staples. Text block separate from wrappers. Tissue paper map in excellent condition.. A beautifully photo-illustrated travel brochure promoting York Harbor and the coast of Maine as a summer resort destination. Includes photos and descriptions of local historical sites, country clubs, recreation and sport, antique shopping, and a number of "quaint old houses", which the publication particularly relishes in: "The Town of York abounds in old houses, not a few of which are rich in stores of buried romance" (p. 12). Nearly two hundred are photo-illustrated, some with complete floor plans, and organized by owner and address in the rear index; they are each marked in red in the folding map. Single vol. New York, New York: International Life Suit Corporation, 1910. Vertical crease, short tear to foot, else fine.. Advertising handbill for the Ever-Warm Safety-Suit, a diving suit akin to a life preserver that claims to "keep you afloat for hours or days, dry and warm, absolutely protected from exposure". A photograph of a group of adults and children wearing the suits is captioned, "Prepared for the perils of the sea". Seven different models are offered, each with pricing and sizing (they even have a model to fit children aged 5). Measures 8.25" by 7". Verso blank.

Long Beach, California: Douglas Aircraft Company, Inc, 1943. Very good. Minor toning, some creasing to a few leaves. Wrappers rubbed at extremities. Final leaf sometime excised.. A wartime training booklet for employees of the Douglas Aircraft Company, Inc., steeped in patriotism and zeal for the war effort: "You are now a member of the great family of Douglas workers. Douglas is a great name in aviation ... Wherever you find American fighting forces today, you'll find Douglas airplanes filling the main assignments in the United Nations' aerial transport tasks, carrying men, munitions and materials in unbelievable quantities to every part of the globe, as well as removing the wounded to health restoring hospitals. 1940. unpaginated. Printed board cover with metal spiral, double board pages with slots for coins, color illustrations throughout by Thomas J. Morrison Jr. Verse written by Genevieve Burke. A savings books with verse about helping the defense program by saving coins. Describes coins and how they add up, for example, "10 copper pennies make two nickel nickels". 8 1/2" x 6 1/2" staining, wear.

1850. 3" x 3" cut-out on one page.. A 5 3/4" x 10 1/2" hand made book by a little boy Initials W. B. R. The book is structured with brown paper on verso and pencil drawn illustrations on the right. Includes 8 pages of sketches including the cover. The cover depicts a saltbox house with lightening rods and a fenced in pasture. This is followed by allegorical images of an anchor and a Masonic symbol at the top of a page where a wolf chances a deer. The next page is a village skyline with both a small British and larger American flag flying overhead. A train is at the station --stick figure characters. The following page is a marching band of soldiers ; one with a sword, a drum, bugle, fife bayonette and American flag. This is folled by another page of page of solders with packs and bayonettes. And so it goes additional patriotic symbolism including American flags, firing cannon, eagles, etc. Concludes with a calf nursing while a bull looks on.

A 5 3/4" x 5" die-cut, heart shaped, easel backed valentine with applied parchment with floral and leaf design held in place with rivets.The center has an image of a sailor walking with a pretty young girl. The backgroundhas an ocean scene. The final tier has gray stripe edging.The lower right corner has a sentiment'An Offeringfrom My Heart'. The condition is good. Parchment and Rivet Art Nouveau influenced design.

Sole edition of a charming, hand-colored illustrated children's book published by Turner & Fisher as a part of their "Brilliant Colored Toy Books" series. 16mo (4.75" by 3"), pp. 8, with hand-colored illustrations. Sewn in original illustrated wrappers, with upper wrapper serving as title page. Spine later reinforced with blue stitching. Early pencil inscription of "Miss Sawyer" to upper wrapper verso. 7 copies in OCLC (Feb. 2022).

Elmira, NY: Banner Publishing Company, 1897. General wear.. A magazine that was a Christian, educational and patriotic periodical that was published on a bimonthly basis devoted to the ideals of "Christianity, culture and civism" in women. The magazine provided the reader with articles on a variety of topics, such as charity endeavors, advice for the household, children, and other subjects that a woman might find interesting. This item is Vol. 5, No. 2 and contained the following articles: "Invocation to Spring", "Americans as Englishmen and Points of Difference", "Don't Wait", "The Cliff Dwellers", "Was It a Spirit", "Systematic and Proportionate Giving", "Interesting Antiquities", "Bannerets and Editorial Notes", "News from the Banner Club", "Household Matters", "For the Children' and "Pennsylvania Curiosities, City Water Works, Etc.". London, England: R. Canton, 1850. Very good. Light toning, spotting.. A charming moveable turkey greeting card produced by R. Canton. When the turkey's head is lifted, it can be moved to show the animal popping up towards the viewer. R. Canton was a London lithographer known for his vinegar valentines, prints, and moveables. This example measures approx. 7.25" by 4.5". Hand-colored lithograph on embossed octavo paper with applied cut-outs for the turkey.

A short magazine style booklet provided by the US Postal Service to libraries or individuals in more rural locations. On the front cover it states, "A handbook of accurate information concerning the Postal Service, particularly compiled for rural mail patrons coming to you direct from the National Capitol in Washington D. C., and well meriting a place in your library." It contains a variety of different information on current postal rates, and short biographical information on postal employees such as the Postmaster General and First Asst. Postmaster General. Providence, RI: American Civil Liberties Union Foundation of Rhode Island, 1965. Minor crease marks.. A 'Q & A' pamphlet provided by the Rhode Island American Civil Liberties Union Foundation (ACLU) on what to do when you are stopped by the police. The pamphlet has been broken up into three sections: 'If You Are Stopped by the Police', 'Your Rights' After an Arrest', and 'Your Rights in Front of a Judge'. Each question and answer is stated in simple and direct terms. Some of the questions asked are: 'What should I do if the police harass me?', 'When can the police search my home?', 'What rights do I have after an arrest?', 'Is there anything I should sign at the station [after an arrest]? (on the inventory list of your belonging at the time of your arrest), and 'What will happen when I appear before the judge?'. New York: John Chatillon & Sons, 1921. Very good condition, some wear along the fold creases as to be expected.. This tri-fold, catalogue advertises for a variety of different types of cutters. Over the six panels are the types of Ypsilanti cutters that are being offered. There are five categories of cutters: Kraut, Kraut: "B" Line Special Quality, Two Knife Slaw, One Knife Slaw and Vegetable. Each category has multiple design options underneath it with different sizes, and for kraut cutters number of knifes. Additionally there is information about how many cutters per crate and total weight. There is one illustrative example of one design per category to give a visual idea of the cutter.
