Istanbul: Kader Basimevi, 1947. Very Good. Istanbul: Kader Basimevi, 1947. Side-stapled printed wraps. Tall Octavo. 21 pages. Scarce scholarly monograph of the itinerant 11th-century polymath. "To Dr. Maurice Pechet," handwritten at top of wrapper title. Pechet was an inventory, scientist, doctor, and professor at Harvard. Uzman, known for his research into Gargoylism at Harvard University, here attempts to put Constantine's life and work in a context that both exalts his achievements and acknowledges his faults (see title). No copies in retail, OCLC, or auction records found. Lightly chipped and toned along edges. Nickel-sized dampstain along bottom edge.
