Macoy Publishing Co., NY, 1929; First Edition; Signed; 8vo, 206 pages; sky blue cloth; gilt titles. Famed clairvoyant Nancy Fullwood’s first book, a series of spiritual teachings channeled from an entity known only as Sano Tarot, who first made himself known to her in 1917 while she was living a life of isolation in the Alabama countryside. Warmly inscribed and signed in 1930 to friend Anna Bing, wife of millionaire Leo S. Bing and a leading Los Angeles philanthropist and patron of the arts in her own right, who was a major influence in the creation of the Los Angeles County Art Museum. Inscription reads " To Anna-- It is written that a new Earth will rise out of the old chaotic sphere and the kingdom of harmony shall dwell therein." Very Good, tiny cloth chip at upper extremity of spine panel, spine titles faded. Scarce.

Description:
Crowley's masterpiece, the work into which he poured his knowledge of the Astral and other planes. It is in three parts, the first two of which cover the principles of Yoga, and of Ceremonial Magic as taught in the Golden Dawn where he served his apprenticeship from 1898 to 1900. The third and major part, which was written mainly in his Abbey of Thelma in Sicily between 1920 and 1923, contains his own system of practical occultism. Crowley's Magick is a doctrine and a technique for establishing contact with extra-terrestrial entities - spirits, demons, elementals - for the purpose of extending human consciousness and expanding life to cosmic proportions. An excellent copy. Pages are bright and tidy. No marks, creases or browning. Possibly unread. Cloth boards are tight and clean. DJ is price clipped but very clear and bright and only the most minor shelf wear at the top spine. Some spine and other fading as is typical with this book. All now covered in professional clear removable book cover. A really…

Description:
A beautiful copy of this rare item, and in unusually excellent condition. This is the one-volume first UK edition published by New English Library in 1975 in London. All aspects are first rate (see photos ). The slipcase is often missing or damaged, but here it is excellent: just the vaguest sense of rubbing and slight sunning fade to spine, but totally tight, clean and intact. Book itself: pages are crisp, clean and bright: no markings, tanning or inscriptions, almost as new. DJ is complete and excellent with just the slightest edge wearing and possibly a little sunning on spine. Overall, this is a tremendous version of this rare copy, it has obviously been well looked after since day one. **this item may require an additional POSTAGE charge (at cost) depending on your location as it is a heavy item: if so, I will be clear to you before I send. Please see all photos of this lovely book, more available on request Many Thanks

Recits de Belzebuth a son Petit-filsby G. I. GurdjieffJanus, Paris, 1956. First French edition, translated from the original manuscript. Red leather hardcover. 1177 pp. Red silk ribbon marker. Unmarked and in good condition. The original jacket and glassine cover is worn and chipped (please see photos) but still good. About the book: George Ivanovitch Gurdjieff, (1877-1949) was a Greco-Armenian mystic and philosopher who founded an influential quasi-religious movement. Gurdjieff taught that people are not conscious of themselves and thus live their lives in a state of hypnotic "waking sleep", but that it is possible to awaken to a higher state of consciousness and serve our purpose as human beings. Beelzebub's Tales to His Grandson is the first book of a trilogy in which Gurdjieff set forth his 'Fourth Way' spiritual mysticism.

binding is very clean- just a touch of edgewear/shelfwear. They used a two tone quarter green cloth over gray cloth and the green portion still is glossy. Internals very clean ( not even any pricing marks in pencil) though there is a paper clip indentation at the lower edge affecting the title, onwards for 20 pages. Unclipped wrapper has only some rubbing but I detect no tears, creases or chips. The paper is wonderful; it strikes me as feeling and looking like "linen" (not your business/office grade) but I am by no means an expert on paper. This US Stackpole Edition omits 8 plates which are in the UK Allen & Unwin volume. Well-preserved, excellent copy.Inv. # 63672 NOAB* bds 9/2023
