No date, but published in late 1935 or early 1936, since Wadham's contribution (ending at page 19) is dated 13th November, 1935, and Crossley's "Foreword to Part II" is dated December of the same year. Description:
New York: Random House, 1959. Book. Illus. by Sam March (dust jacket design). Very Good. Hardcover. First Edition.. Small octavo. Humes's second novel, following 'The Underground City,' both of which led to his being considered by Esquire magazine as having the same promise as two obscure guys named Updike and Styron (whoever they are). Anyway, he met a guy named Leary who introduced him to a little substance known as LSD, and after seriously indulging his fondness for the hallucinogen he became a trifle paranoid and a bit delusional, which pretty much ended his writing career. Humes was co-founder (with Peter Matthiessen and George Plimpton) of The Paris Review. He died of prostate cancer in 1992. Black cloth w/gilt lettering, 184 pages. Mildly cocked, light general wear, in price-clipped dust jacket w/light rubbing, light edgewear, creases to fore-edges of both flaps..

Description:
Toronto: William Briggs Book. Illus. by Leslie L. Benson. Very Good. Hardcover. 1st Canadian edition.. Small octavo. No date [1918]. According to IMDb, Macfarlane was a railroad clerk, pastor and an actor before becoming a writer. Unable to come to grips with his failing health, he shot himself on the steps of the San Francisco morgue. Far be it from me to argue with IMDb. Red cloth w/yellow bell illustration/black lettering to front cover, black spine lettering, 458 pages. Light wear to corners/spine ends, lightly dusted/tanned edges, small bookseller's tag to bottom of rear pastedown, in dust jacket w/light edgewear, mild chipping, a bit of scuffing, impressions, faint soil, moderate wear to folds. A nice copy of a scarce edition seldom found in a dust jacket..

Description:
Toronto: McClelland, Goodchild & Stewart, Limited, 1916. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. 1st Edition. Small octavo. The first of Montgomery's books to be published by a Canadian publisher, this is one of her most sought-after titles, rarely found in a dust jacket, even one as weary as this specimen (oddly, it is easier to find a signed copy than one with a jacket). Collects more than 90 poems by the author of 'Anne of Green Gables,' most of which were published in almost two dozen Canadian and American magazines. Green cloth w/gilt cover/spine lettering, 159 [1] pages. Bumped corners, light edgewear, gilt almost entirely flaked from spine, about a third flaked from front cover, previous owner's name to front end paper, dust/lightly tanned edges. The jacket is in two pieces (separated at left front panel/right spine edge), w/rubbing, chipping/tears to corners, short edge tears, 2" tear to top of rear panel, sun-darkened spine, 1"-deep chip to top spine, remains of presumed… Read More
