The books were one of the items sold at annual bazaars that were major fundraisers for the Boston Female Anti-Slavery Society, This volume contains writings by William Lloyd Garrison, John Quincy Adams, Edmund Quincy, James Russell Lowell, Maria Lowell, Edmund Jackson, Wendell Phillips, David Lee Child, Joseph Mazzini, and many others. First edition, first printing, 1865, softcover pamphlet in good condition. 30 pages plus blank plus wraps. In original paper wraps. No writing inside or out. Edges are chipped, ink stain upper outer edge not affecting text, pages are toned, corners bumped. Author put together this pamphlet to encourage the public to encourage the Union Navy to consider his designs for a warship. Scarce. None listed for sale; none found at auction.
