The book includes a Foreword by Christopher Morley. This First Edition Thus has the 1937 date on the copyright page, as well as on the Title Page in Roman Numerals. Random House did not state First Edition on its earlier books until 30 years later, but only made note of subsequent printings. You get one antique Babylon Electrified: The History of an Expedition Undertaken to Restore Ancient Babylon By the Power of Electricity and How it Resulted hardcover by A. Bleunard and published by Gebbie & Co., Publishers in Philadelphia in 1889. It is illustrated by Montader and is in English. It measures approximately 9.5 inches long by 7 inches wide. The book is in good condition. The binding is tight and the book is complete with no loose pages. The covers and edges do have some wear. The pages do have foxing, but are clean and free of writing, except for a number 7 written on the title page before the title page. Thereis a tear in the first blank page, as well as the frontispiece. Please see all pictures.

Two-volume study of the historic dwellings and vernacular architecture of Lebanon, in French. Volume one (82 pages) authored by Professor Kalayan of the American University of Beirut; volume two (86 pages) by architect Jacques Liger-Belair. With b&w photos throughout by both Kalayan and Liger-Belair. Liger-Belair's volume is inscribed and signed.
The volumes are in very good shape with only some yellowing in page margins, in endpaper folds, and along the spine. Comes with original cardboard slip cover in fair shape, previously repaired with tape. See images for a better idea of condition.
