You are not likely to see something this spectacular again anytime soon!.

Deux tirages gélatino-argentiques d'époque, tous deux avec cachets et mentions variées de l'hebdomadaire "L'Express". 27 x 20,5 cm pour le premier, 29,5 cm x 24 cm pour le second, celui-ci avec des trais au crayon rouge pour son recadrage dans "L'Express". Les deux portraits ont été publiés, comme en attestent les divers tampons, dans "L'Express" du 4 décembre 1972 (n° 1117), le premier p. 154, le second p. 155, recadré. Dans le même numéro figurait également un troisième portrait de Pound par Folon, debout et tête levée, dont nous n'avons pas trouvé de tirage (mais connaissons le négatif). [Np: The Photographer, ca. 1963].. Two original glossy double-weight gelatin silver prints from negatives, 11 x 14" (inclusive of margins). Captioned in pencil on verso. About fine. Original prints of two of the most memorable of the sequence of superb photographs taken by Yousuf Karsh on location in South Africa during the filming of the 1964 Diamond Films production, ZULU, directed by Cy Endfield. Karsh's invitation to join the production and photograph the cast and locale resulted in a sequence of photographs of a very high order. The present images are an extraordinary pair of photographs, one from a near face-on p.o.v., the other from right profile, of a large group of Zulu tribesmen, in warrior regalia, seated and watching a motion picture (in the first of the images the 16mm projector is visible in the background). Soviet Union , 1979. Dated 1979-1982, a unique and RARE Soviet sailor's photo album, 13 1/2" w x 9" h, in string-tied brown velvet over heavy cardboard. Containing 40 pp. of thick cardboard, with 140 black and white and 4 color photographs pasted in, and 4 B & W photos and 1 negative laid in. The album rendered unique and amazing by the addition of 15 exquisitely detailed SIGNED pen and ink tracings of warships, 11 modern Soviet Navy warships and 4 tall ships, on rice paper, with each tracing interspersed between the photography pages. Very Good, small tears to the edges of some of the rice paper sheets. RARE Soviet Navy photographs from the height of the Cold War taken by an incredibly talented sailor/ artist. . Photograph Album. Each mounted within a decorative stiff card frame with gilt border. With 15 leaves and each leaf has a slot for two photographs. Most photos with a publisher's imprint on the back and the name of the general also penciled on the back. Album is contemporary embossed Morocco with two brass clasps. One clasp is broken. Gilt dentelles. Some pages have been reattached at margin, but all are present. Some chipping and wear to head and tale of the spine, but overall very good. Paul Verlaine commissioned the photographer to take a series of portraits when he considered applying for the Académie Française. Several tests are then carried out.
For these photographs, the poet poses with the famous scarf of the house Charvet, which had been given to him by Robert de Montesquiou.
Three years before his death, the poet appears the Socratic face, the hunchbacked forehead, his gaze sunk under the eyebrow arch, sporting the chamaré scarf of which he was so proud.
This portrait is one of the most famous of the poet, it is presented here in a remarkable state of preservation.

Very good condition. 280 PHOTOGRAPHS RECORDING A VISIT TO EGYPT IN 1894: Each photograph is carefully labeled and annotated in ink, English. The album records photographically the touring holiday in Egypt, from arrival to departure, of an unnamed older man husband and two women (related?) who record scenes, from Alexandria, to the monuments in Gizeh, Beni-Hasan, Luxor, Karnak, Thebes, Kom Ombo, Assuan, Shellal, Mahadah, Philae, Wadi-Halfa, and Abu-Sir. / The photographs are all the same size (4.5x3.5 inches), with four pictures mounted per page. This listing is for an extremely scarce 8x10 photo of Rolling Stones legend Mick Jagger which he has signed as shown with Love and a brief inscription. Mick's autograph has been professionally authenticated by James Spence Authenticators (JSA), recognized worldwide as one of the most reputable third party authenticators in the business. This is one of the most nicely written Jagger autographs I have seen anywhere and it is beyond scarce with professional (and reputable) authentication.
