Dodd and published by R. Cornman. First published in 1789 and re-issued in 1805.The colours are still very strong & bright, no stains, the engraving is in a 20th century plain wood frame with a wash-line mount. Measures Approx 51 x 62 cm (inc frame). The name of the artist lower left and the engraver lower right, no other publisher or imprint marks, but as described in the "Life Of George Morland" 1824, which also furnished the printer details for me to add here as part of its history. *One of the more interesting and dynamic artists of his day, his dissolute and frivolous lifestyle kept his adventures picturesque and at the same time sad. He died aged only 41 in poverty and a reduced figure. 1763-1804. This print removed from a large local "private" estate.
