About This Item
New York; (1942): Harriss and Givens. First Edition. Octavo. Limited to 775 copies. 117 pages. The First Edition of Patchen's fine novel which he has inscribed to S.A Jacobs. Samuel Aiwaz Jacobs was the master printer who alone could meet the demands of E.E. Cummings (see Walter Rumble's article on the Persian Typesetter and the Golden Eagle Press). Patchen himself made certain that he supervised the design and typography of this book. A fine copy bound in blue cloth lettered in gilt, spine lettering gilt, in a very good dust jacket with a few small chips to spine ends and corners. Very nice.
