Al Sonnenstrahl discusses his career as a deaf engineer who segued into advocating for equal access in telecommunications. Robert C. O'Reilly, Amanda J. Mangiardi, and H. Timothy Bunnell outline the process of cochlear implantation in children. Jami N. Fisher and Philip J. Mattiacci open Part Two: Education and Literacy by examining civil rights issues in education. Spine and top edges of front and back cover are faded (sun damage), library stickers on front, spine, and back. Righthand corners of front cover show a tiny bit of white, indicating miniscule wear, but otherwise cover shows no shelfwear. Does not appear to have ever been checked out or read.
