All the Right Changes

As a pianist, I find this book quite useful. It has plenty of tunes I don't know and want to learn, with the most practical chords (This book has only lead sheets, not arrangements, with few exceptions). It's great for solo gigs or for learning tunes. Dick Hyman also gives this book a few extra layers of usefulness by also notating above the given chords (usually printed in red) the original chords or useful alternatives. Occasionally alternate versions are given in chord charts printed on facing pages. Occasionally Hyman gives a worked out arrangement written on the grand staff for even more complex ideas on familiar tunes. It's a shame this book and it's predecessor, vol. I, are out of print.
