Handi-Books, 1942. Soft Cover. 1942. Small, pocket-sized edition, 142 pps. in luridly illustrated softcovers. Classic noir private-eye mystery complete with a lucious young client with a wad of cash and scars on her back from a whipping, mysterious Orientals, murder, etc. A popular piece, reprinted at least four times from 1941 to 1979. Cheaply produced pulp and therefore with embrowned and fragile pages, edgewaer and creaseing and a small tear to the covers.
