Facsimile of the 1717 historic edition featuring over 100 masterful engravings by John Sturt. His work was done by hand on silver plates to allow for extreme detail. The engravings took Sturt three years to complete and now stand apart as his masterpiece.
Two-color printing throughout. Limited to 800 hand-numbered copies housed in a fabric-covered clamshell. Limited edition of 800 copies, of which this is number 472.
Overall condition is FINE. Very light shelf wear and scratches to page gilt, leather covers & slipcase.A beautiful copy.
