U. S. Geological Survey, 1904. Softcover. Acceptable. Huge geologic atlas of the Aladdin quadrangle (# 128) located primarily in Wyoming's Crook County but also straddling South Dakota and Montana. Includes extensive descriptive text, topographic map, aerial geology map, structure section sheet, artesian water map and columnar section sheet. All maps full-page and in color. The Aladdin quadrangle encompasses, among other notable features, Devil's Tower National Monument, the Bear Lodge Mountains with Warren Peak and the Belle Fourche River. Nearby towns include Sundance and Deadwood. Approximately half of Devil's Tower is located inside the quadrangle. Scarce. 8 numbered pages of text and an additional page of text on back panel recto. 21 1/2" x 18 1/2". Tight copy with occasional chipping to folio cover. Light age toning to cover and text. Maps lack toning and exhibit fresh colors. A presentable copy of a desirable cartography collectible.
