1949 CHACHANI MOUNTAIN CLIMBING EXPEDITION PERU PHOTO ALBUM -

7.5" x 9.25" leather bound photo album, with an embossed cover of a mountain and gilded lettering which read "Expedicion Chachani 1949." Inside the front cover, is an inscription that says "A mi amigo y companero en la Expedicion al Chachani, Arequipa, Ano Nuevo, 1950. "Max Quesada" is printed there as well. There are 78 photos in total, 75 in the album and 3 are loose. Most of the photos measure 3.375" x 4.625" with a few larger ones. This exciting album, shows a group of men trekking and camping on their way up a snow covered mountain. A few pages are unused, otherwise it is complete and in good condition.
