About This Item

Original letters. (2) Alfred Sloan TLSs, both written to Edward T. Stotesbury of Philadlephia, senior partner at the Drexel & Company banking house, associate of J.P.Morgan and one of the wealthiest men in the country. Drawn on General Motors Corporation stationary and written in October of 1935 and October of 1937 respectively, both letters are clean and bright and show strong signatures from the Chairman of General Motors. In both cases, Sloan is writing Stotesbury to invite him to preview General Motors' new line of cars for 1936 and 1938.
