A detailed study of plate 1 which shows Captain James Cook landed at Poverty Bay on 8 October 1769, during his first voyage in the Pacific. The examinations reveals the flaws in the first printing to enable to identify to rare first printing of the 2s for philately. CONDITION Card wraps, 52 pages with illus. Toned and a little handled to covers, clean internally. . First Edition. Soft Cover. Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
