Circa [1954].. [1954].. Very good. - sc The three 10 inch high by 8 inch wide glossy black & white photographs depict a young Henny Youngman from the chest up. The photographer Leo Friedman's name is stamped on the verso of each. The photographs are accompanied by 5 retained copies of press releases issued by the Press Relations Department of MCA in New York City. Mechanically reproduced on one side of 12 11 inch high by 8-1/2 inch wide pages. The pages are stapled together for each of the 5 sets of press releases, each containing the same material. The cover page outlines the size of the desired billing, followed by a page listing the comedian's outstanding engagements. Press releases are titled as follows: "Henny Youngman Deserted / Hot jazz for Hot Comedy", "Henny Youngman / A Comedian's Sourcebook", "Henny Youngman Cooks with a Cold Audience". The releases are followed by a 2 page draft for a feature story about Henny Youngman and press notices and reviews. A must have for fans of the comedian, perhaps best remembered for his classic line "Take My Wife, Please!" <p>In addition to his stage appearances at such popular nightclubs as the Copacabana and the Roxy Theatre, Henny Youngman appeared on numerous television shows, including the Milton Berle show. He appeared in the films "History of the World Part I" and "Goodfellas".
