About This Item
1. KISS WALTZ, from Dancing Sweeties
Dancing Sweeties (1930) is an American Pre-Code romantic comedy film with music directed by Ray Enright, released by Warner Bros., and starring Grant Withers and Sue Carol. The film is based on the story Three Flights Up by Harry Fried.
Kiss Waltz is the only song released from the film.
3 pages of music plus covers. Excellent condition.
2. I DON'T NEED ATMOSPHERE TO FALL IN LOVE, from Honey
Honey is a 1930 musical comedy from Paramount, starring Nancy Carroll and Stanley Smith. There's one very grainy old clip online, of the stars singing this song.
3 pages of music plus covers. Excellent condition.3. THE LITTLE THINGS IN LIFE, from Holiday Inn
This is one of the songs from Irving Berlin's Holiday Inn, which was later made into the 1942 film starring Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire. The film featured 'White Christmas' and 'Easter Parade'.
Berlin wrote this song in 1930; this is the first edition music.
4 pages of music, plus covers. There are a few little tears at the edges, otherwise excellent condition.
4. LITTLE SPANISH DANCER
Fox Trot. By Tot Seymour and Mabel Wayne. 1930
Tot Seymour (1889-1966) was a successful song-writer in her day, writing songs for Fannie Brice, Mae West, Sophie Tucker and Belle Baker. Her hits included Swingin in a Hammock, On the Beach With You, and I'm Makin Hay in the Moonlight.
Mabel Wayne (1890-1978) was both a classically-trained pianist and a vaudeville dancer. She became known for her Latin-tinged songs, including Ramona and In a Little Spanish Town. I have the cover for the original music of Ramona, if you'd like it. You can have it free with this purchase.
Multi-part edition including Solos or duets for Saxophones (and other B flat, E flat, C instruments), Tenor Banjo, Hawaiian Guitar, Accompaniments for banjo & guitar (by lettered chords) and ukulele.
3 pages plus cover. Near-perfect condition; there's a tiny bit of wear at the edges.
Note: I have lots of vintage sheet music listed here, some singly, many in bundles. You're welcome to create your own bundle, or just buy one piece from a grouping.
