Overall case condition is Very Good. Book: Original paper wraps, illustrated to front cover. Slight wear to edges, creasing to spine. Canvas reinforcements to endpaper joints. Heavy browning to pages, otherwise clean throughout. Includes 6 pages of photographs. Spanish language. Migone was a Roman Catholic priest at St. Mary's church in Stanley from 1905 until his death in 1937. A scarce and valuable record of life on the Falkland Islands at the start of the 20th century. From the private collection of Eric Kenneth Prentice 'Kenn' Back, meteorologist who worked with the British Antarctic Survey for nearly 40 years, recipient of both the Fuchs Medal and the Polar Medal, and a descendent of Sir George Back, the Arctic explorer.
